Who we are

The business is run by Meridian Corp Ltd, trading as Meridian Café & Bar (company number 14952724, ICO registration number ZC278987), which is responsible for the details you give us. What we collect, and why

• Catering enquiries: the kind of order, what you're after, whether you'd like an invite to a corporate tasting, your order or message, dietary needs and allergies, number of people, date, time, delivery or collection, delivery postcode (for delivery), name, company, email and phone. Used only to reply, arrange your order and, if you ask, invite you to a tasting. Dietary and allergy details are used only to prepare your order safely.
• Email sign-up: your email, only if you sign up in the footer or tick the box for emails on the catering enquiry form. Used to send events and offers, no more than once a month, with an unsubscribe link in every email.
• Orders: handled by Square, under Square's own privacy notice.

Why we can use your details

• Catering enquiries: so we can reply and arrange your order at your request.
• Email sign-up: your consent. You can withdraw it any time with the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.

How long we keep it

Catering enquiries are sent to us by email. They are not kept on the website's systems. We keep enquiry emails in our inbox and don't currently delete them. To stop the form being misused, the website keeps a count of enquiries against a scrambled version of your internet address, not the address itself. It is deleted automatically, usually within two days. Our website host, Google, keeps its routine server logs for 30 days. They record your internet address and browser type. If you sign up for emails, we keep your email address until you unsubscribe.

Who else sees it

These services handle your details for us. Google hosts the website and provides the email inbox your enquiry arrives in. The part of the website that sends your enquiry runs in London. MailerLite sends our emails, if you sign up or tick the box for emails: it holds your email address for us and uses it only as we instruct. It first emails you a link to confirm, and every email has an unsubscribe link. Square handles orders, under its own privacy notice. Our web developer looks after the website and can see its technical logs, but not your enquiry.

Cookies: our own website sets none, and it has no advertising or analytics trackers. The food hygiene rating badge in the footer is loaded from the Food Standards Agency's website, which sets a cookie that lasts until you close your browser. It keeps the badge loading from the same FSA server and isn't used for tracking or advertising.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, and unsubscribe at any time. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the ICO.
